More and more, in his autumn years, The Bear likes to use the balcony of my house as a kind of bachelor flat: a place where he can sleep, groom himself, avoid those of a more lowbrow persuasion, and cogitate over the issues of the day. As the following sequence illustrates, he does not appreciate disturbances when he is in this domain, especially if they do not happen to be meat-themed.

The Bear really likes to sit under that metal chair, doesn't he?
That looks like a great place to catch some rays.
The Bear's got a great catio, as he so richly deserves. We envy him - we used to have one as well, but no more. Alas.
Nice photo (3rd one down) of him with the 'hooks' out...
Don't tell The Bear I said this, but he's really cute. (He would probably object to 'cute' so you can tell him 'handsome', or something). Squeaky runs a similar programme to The Bear, only his involves sitting on one barbecue, sleeping for 6 hours or so, then getting up and sleeping on the other barbecue. (of course we have two barbecues. don't ask).
I love how The Bear is expertly demonstrating that cat thing of conveying 'I pity you, peasant,' simply with one look under a chair. Beautifully done! :o)
