Under The Paw: Out In Canada this week!

Just to let Canadian readers of this blog know. You can buy it HERE from Amazon Canada. Still no news on an American publication of the book - though we're getting closer! - so this might also be the easiest way for US blog followers to purchase.

That's weird, I got the book out of my local library (I live in Vancouver BC) and there was a heap of copies in there. (I enjoyed it enormously, by the way) So I guess it's been available in Canada for a while, just not on Amazon. I just checked, and yes, it's available on Chapters' (the Canadian version of Borders) site:

Yes, I had thought it had come out in Sept, but the amazon date was Nov, weirdly. Thanks for letting me know and really glad you enjoyed it, Stephanie. Hope you feel compelled to tell all your mates!

Well, I had to reserve it at the library because other people had requsted it, so it's already popular. But yes, I have been recommending it to all my 'cat hag' friends here. ;)
Ooh you should come and do a book signing!! Canada will welcome you with open arms.

I massively would, if I could kick my fear of flying. Canada is my favourite unvisited country by some way. I wanted to be a Mountie when I was 10!

Ah, yeah a 10 hour flight probably isn't the best thing if you hate to fly :-/ But Canada is worth it! I'm a Brit, who emigrated here 4 years ago. It's such a lovely place to live. Pretty much all domestic cats have to be 'indoor cats' though, because we have coyotes and racoons and skunks and stuff (and if you live in more remote areas grizzlies). Interesting factoid, if you adopt a cat from a shelter and admit you're going to let it outside, they won't give you the kitty. It's worth it, if they live longer, but sad, cos cats do like to roam. My cat just roams between the sofa and his food bowl.

Maybe it will help to make it a kinder, gentler place for cats. One hopes and prays so, anyway.

I see that strange kitten has made the cover again! Good luck with Canadian sales.
