Oh, please, Facebook. Too bad there's no way to filter for the ridiculous. I love cats, and I'm always concerned about their treatment. I think these facebookers are less interested in cats, and more in judging other people's choices.
Some of these 'armchair critics' need to get a life. 'My Sad Cat' is both innocent & funny & if people find your posts that offensive (another word I've grown to hate) they can simply find another cat related site to sign on & complain to.
I post at least 5 pictures/cat related sale items/jokes, etc a day & nine tenths of the responses are positive. However when a reader decides to take their bad mood out in the comments section of my post it's beyond irritating & depressing ... especially when all you're trying to do is make people smile.
My Sad Cat (& Bear) make my day ~ everyday ... so keep on doing what you're doing & screw the 1% who don't appreciate your efforts.

Oh my god this is what the people decide to make a big deal about. Cat humour. No one didn't mind when that fat cat Garfield was being fed lasagna. Is that okay? Over feeding a cat with people,food? And what about fur being murder? There's so much more issues to blog about. Oh my god marijuana! No!!!

No one points out that Bear obviously suffers deeply from Feline Major Depressive Disorder and hasn't been taken to the Pet Psychologist. Poor kitty is in pain and inner turmoil, and simply being exploited for a laugh! How irresponsible these people are with their furbabies!

Of course animals get high. Bears eat fermented apples to get drunk. As others have said: catnip. My cat loves to eat catnip, which doesn't get her high. She also loves the smell of marijuana vapor (not smoke), which I discovered by accident. I think it's because the two weeds smell similar. So even if this hadn't been a very funny joke, those "animals don't get high" people are just moralistic anthropomorphists.
Also my husband once accidentally overdosed our little kitty with pain meds a little during an eye infection; we brought the other cat home from dental surgery another time all dopey from the anaesthesia. We both felt bad for them, but because they were each absolutely fine, bullshit it wasn't also funny.
